What is cave art?

Cave art is painting on cave walls they are found all around the world. They are very old forms of history the oldest dates back to 40,000 years ago in Aurignacian period. They have been used a lot around the world but still the reason for them is still unknown. Yet the think them may have just been a decoration. The paintings are located in caves that are not easily accessible. Cave art can be seen all over a cave on the ceiling and walls. Some think cave paining was used to communicate or tell stories with others.
